Is my internet fast enough for a smart home?
During our initial consultation we can determine if speeds are sufficient for specific tasks. If necessary, you do not require a high speed internet connection to control your internal network.
Do I need an Alexa (Amazon Echo) or Google (Nest Mini)?
It is not necessary however home control is made easy with the addition to a voice unit. We fit your home requirements into a package that best suits you.
Do I need apps installed on my phone?
Typically access via your phone is something most want, which we certainly can do but if alerts and access isn’t wanted, we can install small displays which have your smart home control built in!
Does a smart home save on energy?
There are several home efficiency options when installing smart home devices. Thermostats are a huge contributing factor to lowered costs, ask about more options!
What products can I have installed into my smart home?
There are a tonne of options when it comes to smart home products. From Light Bulbs, Plugs, Switches, Thermostats, CO2 and Smoke Alarms to Camera’s, Door Locks, Doorbell cams and more!
Do I need to have good wifi for a smart home?
Good Wi-Fi is certainly a must with specific devices. On the bright side, during your initial consultation we will get those issues out of the way before moving onto the smart home!
Do you need to put holes in my walls?
No holes required for 99% of our installations however if we do require a wired ethernet cable drop, then we will inform you of such obstacles before moving forward!
Is Google or Amazon or Apple the best option?
We feel that each home situation is different and as such we fit our packages to the needs of the home owner. We will get a feel for which one is best for YOU moving forward during our consultation.
